MSN Bot not pushing out messages (SendMessage)

I have different messenger bots and they all push messages out but the MSN has not been working correctly the past few days. It was working when I first started but now no messages get pushed out to any MSN user. It will do the basic php replys (echo) i coded but it will not send out any messages though the SendMessage method. I believe it is something to do with userkeys not being recognized. As I hard coded the userkey to be with a username. Even then it skips the if statement when it not suppose too therefore using a username of 'new_user' when it is suppose to be their username.

I thought maybe making them add the yahoo bot was going to work but the yahoo bot does not reply to them at all not; even the php replys. Which leads me to another problem. A person with the ymail.com addy for yahoo messenger. The yahoo bot does not php reply to him either.

Try changing the yahoo bot to remove the @yahoo.com -- yahoo doesn't
typically use the domain in IM.

We'll take a look at the issue with pushing messages. Could you tell
me what user you are trying to send to and what you expect the userkey
    to be?

    same problem.
just used the same code in fact that was in the samples
and tried to send a message to one of my msn accounts that is online,
status returned says it is fine, but the user actually receives nothing.

My MSN and Yahoo are both NOT working -- My MSN is online but will not push out messages and my Yahoo is not online -- when I reactivate it it comes online for a split second then back offline again.

    Yahoo: pl8link
    MSN: ***@live.com

    Yahoo log:
    [18:04] *** "pl8link (pl8link)" signed on at Thu Sep 24 18:04:03 2009.
    [18:04] *** "pl8link (pl8link)" signed off at Thu Sep 24 18:04:04 2009.

MSN is online, but I cannot send messages to it - even though I am validated with it.

Is your Yahoo user also connected in an IM client? Yahoo only allows a
single connection per user name. Connecting a second time will kick
the first connection off. Typically when we see the behavior of a
Yahoo or MSN connection connecting then immediately failing, there's
another IM client connected to Yahoo. That other client gets kicked
off when we connect, then it attempts to reconnect, kicking us off.

Nope it is a new account and I do not use the client for it.

OK I was able to get the Yahoo to go online by the following:

    1. Deactivate in imified.
    2. Go online in the web client for Yahoo on this messenger.
    3. Go offline in the web client for Yahoo on this messenger.
    4. Reactivate imified.

The problem now is both MSN and Y! are online via imified, but neither will receive push messages.

Yes, I can confirm that your bots are certainly connected through IMified.
They do not appear to be returning anything when a message is sent to them.
Is this what you are referring to? Or, are you saying you cannot "push"
messages out from your bot via the IMified API?

My bot.php is specific to a verify of account function since I got the bot working on all of them; however, I just edited my bot.php in order to at least respond to tell people what is up.

So you may now get a response when you try talking to it.

But that’s not the problem... the problem is when I push messages out (after getting the proper userkey) all message clients receive messages except MSN and Y!.

Does that make sense?? And the odd thing is if the bot can respond to it (at least with Yahoo); then why can't my push go out to it... it is the same code. The MSN Bot never responds either way, no matter what - No Push, no standard response.

I have to look into it here more.

This is the bot response from one test:

'You are using an older version of Yahoo! Messenger that is no longer supported. Please upgrade by downloading the newest version by going to: http://messenger.yahoo.com/download.php'

I really messed up the reply from email -- yes that was me but I used the wrong email to respond. Here is the corrected reply:

Trillian Astra, however, I shut down Trillian Astra and tried the native clients for MSN and Yahoo (web clients) and saw the exact same problem.

In both cases (and with both clients - web and trillian) the bot does get the message because I have code in my bot.php that sends me an email with the information posted YET the response to the sender never happens. In all other messenger accounts the person does get a response from the BOT yet in Yahoo or MSN they do not.

One small diff -- MSN is online and Yahoo is not (all the time). Periodically I see MSN go offline then back on when I am doing nothing to it.

Has anyone had ANY luck in getting MSN or Yahoo to work yet?? I really need them as they are the most popular to have....

I hope the techs here can figure it out.

No luck yet. But I did find another minor problem of users having their userkeys change on them (I don't know if this is suppose to happen or not). I may have to code for this if this happens often.

That’s what I suspected the problem was... kewl.

No, the key change is not the problem that is causing the push message to not send out. I'm just saying it is an "additional" problem to include with the current one. MSN still doesn't work. Even with the correct userkey MSN push messages still don't send out to the user. They can send messages and it goes to all other non msn users. Only the MSN user don't get the messages that are being pushed.

Userkeys should not change, however they are unique to the
application. So if you remove your app and re-create it, you'll get
all new userkeys for each user.
