Failure to remain active

I just created a bot attached to both a Yahoo and AOL account last night, and it took me a series of attempts over an hour or two to get it to actually appear 'online' in Yahoo and respond to stuff (AOL didn't have this problem). Even when it was active on the Imified bot panel, it didn't appear online in YIM. Right now, both appear active with Imified, but are both "offline" in my personal IM client, and neither of them responds to requests.

On the other hand, the complimentary XMPP bot.im account works just fine.

Am I doing something wrong?
