All bots offline
Hi,
I've got AIM, GTalk and MSN bots under ***@bot.im, or ftblive (AIM) accounts. My colleague set it all up and coded the responses, but he's on holiday.
I can get responses from the bot using the debugger, but through my IM client none of the bots appear online.
Could you please check if there's a network issue or if there's something I need to do?
Thanks

Your gtalk, and msn bots are both now online. We're looking into why they failed. Your AIM screen name however is not online and it doesn't look its ever been logged in through IMified. Is it possible you might have entered a wrong password for the aim screen name when adding it? Can you remove the network and re-add it again?

Hi
They're still not appearing online for my chat client.
I've removed and re-added them but with no result.
I'll look into the AIM bot...

If you're trying to see the Jabber bot ***@bot.im from your
stinkdigital.tv Jabber account you'll first need to update your
stinkdigital.tv domain to allow connections to outside networks.
See http://help.imified.com/faqs/building-imified-bots/talking-to-a-bot-from-google-apps-from-your-own-domain

That doesn't explain the MSN one. The Jabber account is actually GTalk, and
I have loads of non-stinkdigital.tv people on it...

Hi Marcel,
I just pinged ***@bot.im on MSN and it is online and responding. Are you saying that it is not online for you?

The way your DNS is set up, you can only talk to other domains that
are hosted on Google apps. Without SRV records in place on your
domain, Google doesn't know how to route your messages outside of
their network. That article I pointed you toward earlier contains a
link to Google's description of the issue and how to solve it.

OK thanks very much for that.
I still can't get the MSN ones to appear, but I get error code 240 when I
try add them so I'll look into this.
Cheers
